- Air transfers:The nearest airport for Tallinn with good connections all around Europe: http://www.tallinn-airport.ee/en/ .
Check your own best air fares on http://www.skyscanner.net/.
An alternative is Helsinki airport (https://www.finavia.fi/en/helsinki-airport/)
and then use a ferry to Tallinn: http://www.tallink.com/ or
https://www.eckeroline.ee/en/ or http://www.vikingline.com/
- Public transport: Bus 2 from Tallinn Airport to the city centre (typically, the A. Laikmaa stop) leaves every 20 minutes. The bus stop is to the
left of the lower exit of the airport. The ride takes around 15 minutes and costs 2 Euro (pay cash, by preference with exact change).
- Taxi transport: Taxis from Tallinn Airport to the city of Tallinn are cheap and 24/7 readily available.
The taxi ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your chosen hotel location.
The cheapest options are to be found by using the Estonian Taxify app (https://taxify.eu/).
However, you may also simply use any of the taxis that line up right at the exit door of the airport.
Note that Über also operates in Tallinn (https://www.uber.com/cities/tallinn). All taxis can be paid for with credit cards.
Please take note that COST only reimburses public transport. It exceptionally allows
one to use taxis before 7am and after 10pm, or when no public transport is available.
In that case, official receipts clearly showing date and time must be kept in order to be elegible for reimbursement by COST.
