Disease Spread Simulation Using DEVS Lattices
- Team
- Motivation
- Proposal/Requirements: The core idea is to use the DEVS formalism in order to model a discretized version of a given area and the spread of an infectuous disease. The actual implementation will be done in pythonDEVS, making use of the port feature available to easily duplicate a relatively small model and have the copies interact after placing them in a grid. Population movements play a large role in disease spread, and will have to be modeled to some degree of abstraction, although it is worth noting that this will not be done in an agent based way.
