An Aircraft Elevator System as a Benchmark for Hybrid Dynamic

Abstract
This benchmark example incorporates the following hybrid dynamic
system simulation phenomena:
state events,
state update during event iteration,
state invariant event iteration,
loop of discrete changes, and
removing/adding of state vector variables.
In addition, the extensive continuous and discrete dynamics require
powerful modeling formalisms for each of these domains, as well
as efficient and scalable treatment of the hybrid system characteristics.
