WelcomeDear visitors, I am warmly greeting you to my webpage. For those who don't know me, I am a master grad student from the School of Computer Science, McGill University. As a matter of fact, I also obtained my Bachelor degree here. My research field was on relational database systems. However, recently I discovered the excitment of modeling and simulation design and therefore I made a jump to move on to it. To learn more about me, please refer to my resume. Area of InterestsI have been working under Prof. Tim H.Merrett on the mcgill academic relational database system (Relix) for 2 years. My major contributions to this database system were the implementations of nested virtual domains, casting, null values, infinite numeric types and several other small extensions. Now I switched my research field to modeling and simulation design, and working on UML2.0 OCL with Prof. Hans Vangheluwe. I have particular interest in consistency problems in UML-based software development. The current project I am working on focuses on OCL and its relationship to meta-modeling. Our goal here is to model constraints in a way that it is compatible with OCL. An OCL parser built in a multi-paradigm modeling tool is desirable. Updates of Current ResearchFadi Chanbrek of Technical University of Berlin has developed an OCL-Parser for UML-Extensions based on version 1.4 specification. Our decision here is to improve his work which means the new OCL-Parser will be compatible with version 2.0. Compare to the previous 1.x version, the new version of UML 2.0 OCL has enhanced its features and enabled expressions which allow users to state business rules, model descriptons, etc. The final goal for us will be integrating this OCL2.0-Parser into our current modeling tool, ATOM3's new kernel. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
