I am a computer science master student at the University of Antwerp, specializing in Software Engineering.
This page is for my research internships followed by a master thesis, which are supervised by Prof. Hans Vangheluwe in MSDL (Modelling, Simulation and Design Lab).

Research Internship I

My first research internship covers the development of a statechart compiler prototype in python, which generates code using XML as input. The XML structure is a combination of SCXML and a simple class diagram representation.

Read more on this here.

Research Internship II

My second research internship covers the porting of the compiler developed for RSI to C# and subsequently adapt the generated code to integrate with Unity (http://unity3d.com/), as our goal is to construct non-player characters using statecharts in Unity.

Read more on this here.

Master Thesis

My thesis is about developing a statechart modelling- and experimenting-environment in Unity (http://unity3d.com/) using the compiler resulting from the second research internship. Our aim is to be able to easily model the behaviour of non-player characters in games.

Submitted thesis : thesis.pdf.

Model-Driven Engineering : Modelling NPC's as interacting statecharts.
